The U's came out in the second-half looking to break the deadlock, forcing a number of corners in the early stages. United could have won another penalty on 56 minutes, after the ball appeared to strike the hand of Chester full-back, Michael Kay.

Nathan Arnold shot just wide after bursting through the Chester back-line ten minutes from time and Delano Sam-Yorke also came close for the U's with four minutes remaining, but the deadlock couldn't be broken.
